01

Telehealth

Secure video appointments are available for patients throughout Illinois, using a platform that meets healthcare privacy requirements. Many patients find that telehealth allows them to engage in care more consistently — without the logistics of travel, parking, or time away from work. The clinical quality of a telehealth session at this practice is taken as seriously as an in-person one, and the same unhurried attention applies.

Psychotherapy

Individual therapy here is shaped around the person sitting in the room, not a one-size protocol applied regardless of fit. Our licensed therapists draw on evidence-based approaches — including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance-based methods, and psychodynamic work — and choose what is most likely to be useful for your particular situation. Sessions are held with the kind of steadiness and attentiveness that allows real therapeutic work to unfold.

Couples & Family Care

Relational care at Lakefront Medical Partners takes seriously the idea that the people in the room all deserve to feel respected by the process. Couples and family sessions are structured to create enough safety for honest conversation, and the work tends to move at a pace that allows insights to settle rather than accumulate without being integrated. We work with adults navigating communication ruptures, grief, life transitions, and the longer patterns that shape how people relate to one another.

Specialty Care

Beyond general psychiatric and therapeutic services, Lakefront Medical Partners offers focused care for adults navigating specific clinical presentations — including anxiety disorders, mood conditions, trauma, and the particular weight that grief and major life transitions can carry. These specialty areas are not add-on programs but reflect the clinical depth our team has developed through sustained work with adults facing these experiences.

Psychiatry & Medication Management

Psychiatric care at Lakefront Medical Partners begins with a thorough diagnostic evaluation — enough time to understand your history, your symptoms, and what has and has not worked before. Medication, when it is part of your care, is introduced thoughtfully and monitored with attention. Our psychiatrists see follow-up appointments as an opportunity for genuine check-in, not a quick prescription renewal.

About the practice

Lakefront Medical Partners

Some things take time to understand, and healing is one of them. At Lakefront Medical Partners, we have built a practice around the quiet conviction that good mental health care cannot be rushed — that listening well, thinking carefully, and staying present with each person matters more than any efficiency metric.

Our clinical team is composed of board-certified psychiatrists and independently licensed therapists (psychologists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, mental health counselors). We deliver care both in person and through secure telehealth, and we work with most major commercial insurance plans.

Common questions

Frequently asked

How soon can I expect to be seen after reaching out?
We do our best to schedule new patients without a long wait, though availability varies by clinician and service type. When you contact us, a member of our team will give you an honest picture of current timing and help you find an appointment that works.
Is telehealth available for all services, or only certain ones?
Secure video appointments are available for most of our services, including individual therapy, psychiatric care, and many follow-up visits. We will let you know during the intake process whether your particular needs are a good fit for telehealth or whether an in-person visit would serve you better.
What credentials do the clinicians at Lakefront Medical Partners hold?
Our psychiatrists are board-certified in psychiatry, and our therapists hold active Illinois licensure in their respective disciplines — including licensed clinical social workers and licensed clinical professional counselors. We are glad to answer any questions about a specific clinician's background before you schedule.
